We are looking for a detail oriented, high energy Fulfilment Associate to join our passionate team at our Ottawa roastery. In this role, you will be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring that our exceptional Fairtrade coffees are accurately packed, sealed, and prepared for our customer communities. Position: Fulfillment Associate 
Location: 130 Anderson Street, Ottawa, ON, Canada, K1R 67T- Bridgehead Coffee 
Starting Pay: $18.25 per hour
This is role is for an existing vacancy. No AI will be used during the duration of this hiring process.

Primary Duties + Responsibilities
  • Carry out all tasks required to process orders through various channels, including Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B)
  • Pack products according to customer orders
  • Bag and seal roasted coffee into packages
  • Assist with labelling and packaging of coffee bags
  • Monitor inventory to ensure sufficient stock levels, including managing and tallying coffee and retail product inventory on a daily and monthly basis
  • Assist with ordering day-to-day supplies as needed
  • Receive, stock, and organize products at the roastery
  • Understand and adhere to Bridgehead’s health and safety practices
  • Keep the packing line and production area tidy and organized by following daily and weekly checklists
  • Have an understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Bridgehead Coffee Roasters
  • Adhere to KPIs set out for the Packaging + Production Team
  • Carry out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company

Skills + Experience
  • Completion of secondary education is required
  • A valid G-Class provincial driver’s license is considered an asset
  • A valid forklift license is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with iOS systems is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in a food production facility, packing line, or repetitive work environment is considered an asset

Working Conditions
  • Hours of operation at the site will vary depending on the needs of the business
  • Working schedule will generally be Monday to Friday, during the day, but may require evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the business
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to motorized equipment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing are required daily
  • Occasionally required to assist with lifting bins of roasted beans
  • Occasionally required to assist with lifting coffee bags
  • Steel-toed boots are required
  • The noise level in the work environment is loud and requires proper ear protection
